Introducing Google Public DNS: A new DNS resolver from Google

Google is introducing a new DNS resolver to try and make the web run ‘faster.’
***Update: PCWorld Article on Google DNS and Your Privacy
Validity: Google Public DNS complies with the DNS standards and gives the user the exact response his or her computer expects without performing any blocking, filtering, or redirection that may hamper a user’s browsing experience.

I may try this on my laptop for a couple days, but probably not on my desktop, since I use it hourly (yes, hourly). Google may be pushing this for a good purpose, but I feel as if they already feed me enough ‘targeted’ ads as it is. Definitely interesting, and it’s a shame my paranoia (though I feel legit) is in the way of allowing me to take advantage of this.
