Google Wave: Absolutely Revolutionary

Posted on | May 31, 2009 | 7 Comments

For those that have not watched the 1 hour and 20 minute Google Wave video, I HIGHLY recommend it. Just finished watching it in its entirety and it has left me speechless. Revolutionary is probably an understatement for what this product truly is. Extremely EXTREMELY excited about this. Will change “talk” on the internet, in my opinion.

    Grrrrr!!!

Your web costed me many hundred dollars.

While watching I was registering a lot of wawe domains, and most was incredibly good and available.

    Until I noticed the error:

It’s WAVE and NOT WAWE :(

Grrr! and Moniker that no longer allow grace period… fullloss!

Finally, I am not lucky to to have seen your post this morning :)

PS: I never hand register names for resell as I find most still available have no value. Confirmation!

    Man……that was a LONG video.

This will revolutionize communication the way email has.

I wonder if this will crush all the forums or enhance them? I can’t make up my mind. Either way some major adjustments will need to be made upon the release of the product. It will be a major nightmare for some companies.

@ Francois – lol… I control + f my post to make sure I posted as “Wave” and not “Wawe”… :P . No “Wawe” in my post! hehehe

@ Johnny – I was a bit hesitant to watch it at first, but I fastforwarded and watched a good 1 minute in the middle and I figured I’d watch it all since it was 3AM and I needed a break from looking at domain names.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I was even thinking: something like this, we’re going to be able to create “public” waves 100% (I assume, and if not out-of-the-box someone will probably ‘add it on’), which means yes–how much will it affect “traditional” forums? Will someone think of something clever enough to make vBulletin “obsolete”?

This thing is going to create a whole new world of communication in the future. I’m excited to see what’s going to be available to me to add on to my websites.
    :)

Bit too long for me to watch I’m afraid.

Google Wave, sounds like a bit of a time waster to me from what I have read.

    @ Dean:

I had someone say the same exact thing during dinner last night. Final result? Watch the video ;) .

Truly is a very interesting way to communicate and even better: promote conversation between others.

I think it’s going to receive some big news once it comes out. They’re still testing, so it probably has another 4-5 years in “beta” knowing Google (small joke).
