Domain Parking Wars: Namedrive Updating, Sedo Gets New Images, and Whypark with Parked

Wow. Well, I’m going to keep this post brief and just mention some domain parking news over the last few days and throw in some mumbo jumbo:
1. Acquisition of Whypark by Parked – Article here
FABULOUS! Parked has a solid and simple domain parking system. I think this pair is going to be great since you have fan-boys on both sides. It’s already been mentioned that Whypark now uses the Yahoo! advertisement feed, which is supposed to significantly boost revenue of those who use them without their own advertisements.
2. Whypark goes FREE – Article here
Well, it’s really “Whypark services now START at free.” Normally it used to be create “instant” minisites on 100 domains for $100… which was really a pretty good deal. Some people claim to make $$$ with Whypark, but I’ve always stuck to traditional domain parking–it works for me, so I saw no reason to move. With Whypark allowing users to test the waters for free with limited features (there is tiered pricing based on what you want–such as editing CSS), I figured I’d move over some dormant domains that I don’t plan on letting expire anytime soon and seeing what they can do for me. As of now, my stats haven’t updated. Very excited to see what’s up and since they aren’t making cash at other parking providers, they will probably stay at Whypark for the rest of their lifetime (unless developed/sold).
3. Namedrive MASSIVE updating?
For those trying to get into Namedrive, there is a scheduled maintenance. What I didn’t know was that Namedrive is releasing a TON of new features: new layout, advanced stats, and more. I’d really like to write about it, but I think it would be best for those interested to just watch the videos. The NDX market is coming! Seriously cannot wait. Namedrive revenue has been plummeting so I’m really hoping this ends up being some sort of mini-revenue booster. Of course I’d like it to be a HUGE revenue booster, but I’m playing the realistic game today.
4. Sedo releases new images for domain parking templates
Sedo template update: 500 images and new Retro, Gambling and Adult.
I think that’s everything. If I forgot anything important, I’ll definitely update the blog. Take care and looking forward to all these updates!
