My mini-disclaimer:
PLEASE READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS JUST IN CASE. I saw this as a potentially great deal and a kick-off for some people who might want to do some development but don’t want to pay recurring monthly fees without getting a feel for the potential of this domain, but I have NOT used this company nor have I tried to order! I know I’m putting up warning signs all over this post, but it’s just to get people to read before going ahead with this just in case (I mention just in case a couple times!)
“One Love for Three Days – February 14th through 16th! You can purchase the Power shared hosting plan and only pay $1 for the entire year! (Next Renewal Date Februrary 1, 2010) After the year is up the normal yearly payment cycle for that plan will begin. Remember that the Surpass service and support will be the same as it always has been!”
Doing some browsing, I came across something that might interest some people thinking about jumping into the development boat to monetize their names: $1 hosting for the whole year. I’m sure you won’t be tied down after that year, and I possibly might want to recommend using a credit card # that might expire after you get charged the $1 (Paypal should offer this service). The only reason I’m saying so is “just in case”. For those that want to get into development and/or learn to monetize domains: THIS IS PROBABLY A DEAL YOU SHOULD JUMP ON! $1 Hosting for the year? Sounds great! Pair this up with my recent posting on a Register.com free domain promo, and you probably have yourself a sweet deal into getting into “domain monetization” through development.

So, possible time to jump on the development band-wagon? I can’t vouche for this company’s reliability and/or customer service, but I do think it’s a great deal for those who just want to test the waters. And like I mentioned, with that free domain promo, this might actually be a great start for some people. I’ve been seeing lots of Twits lately from people mentioning that they’ve finally bought their first domain name… great!

Thanks! You are right, you certainly can’t beat that price. I will sign up for an account tomorrow before it ends.
I am always looking for companies for cheap hosting.

I was actually considering setting up an account also just for the hell of it. No point in not taking advantage of the offer… $1?! Might be good to start separating some sites on a different IP rather than add-on domains. Not sure if it really makes a difference SEO-wise (not interlinking sites), but might clear up some clutter in my cPanel.
