Getting A Job At Google – Even Harder To Do Now!

Posted on | January 15, 2009 | 1 Comment

I’ve heard stories of people taking ridiculous exams and being asked some pretty “hard” questions during their Google interviews–but things just got a lot “harder” to make it into the good ‘ol Google Plex (rated #1 place to work in the world). Google made a blog post telling everyone that they would be hiring at “a reduced rate”. Sucks, ay? Anyways, a big congrats to Delicious founder Joshua Schachter for getting a great job at Google recently.

“As we made clear during our last quarterly earnings call in October, Google is still hiring but at a reduced rate. Given the state of the economy, we recognized that we needed fewer people focused on hiring.”

The recently released poll shows they have dropped from the #1 ranking and is now rated to be (which is still very good).
