Getting A Free Domain Name Ending Soon…

For some reason I attract tons and tons of e-mails from people who believe I give out free domain names like the $7.50 x a zillion matters not to me. I always try to point people in the right direction and familiarize them with different programs where they can truly get a “free” domain name for extremely minimal work–but no. Asking in a couple more (usually 3-5) e-mails for a free domain name seems much easier. Obviously, when things reach this point, I usually just stop responding. Hell, with the e-mails I’ve been receiving lately, I was seriously considering getting rid of my contact form. Yeah–that’s how bad it is (two different marriage proposals from people looking to be United States citizens, over a dozen requests for free domain names with me deciding on the name, someone asking for free hosting on “my server”, and three requests to login to their AdSense accounts and generate the codes for them with matching color palettes, and others). Aside from the free entertainment, some of these e-mails are just absolutely downright idiotic. Like seriously–the occasional “how do I register a domain name?” is wonderful for me but the “can you get me a domain name and push it to my account?” is absolutely ridiculous. I don’t enjoy putting people on the spot but c’mon… I’ve written out what you should do already weeks ago, why still bother asking ME for a name?! Money doesn’t grow on trees…
