Question To Readers: How Is AdSense Domain Parking Doing?
Posted on | December 13, 2008 | 11 Comments
Well, I’m extremely curious about how AdSense for Domains is doing for some people, but haven’t really had much time to do some research online and find some reviews. It has yet to be activated in my account, so the only way I can see how things are is by reading what YOU have to say.
So,
QUESTION:
How is AdSense for Domains doing for you? PPC? CTR? Worth it? Any info whatsoever!
As of right now, I don’t know of ANYONE who is using it yet. I logged into MSN yesterday and had some chats with a couple people, but 0 testers known as of now.
Alright! Hopefully I can juice some information out of some people and see what their experiences have been thus far!

I would like to know that as well. So far no one has shared any info anywhere I looked.

I skimmed through all the pages of the thread regarding AdSense for Domains @ Namepros, but no mention really of revenue, CTR, RPM, etc. AdSense is pretty-much “real-time” with no “adjusted figured”, so the information gathered within even just a 24 hour time-period would be sufficient enough to see what’s up with it.
“Curiosity killed the cat”
I’m definitely going to test it, but with no more than 10 domains. I just would rather have my domains in a place where I know a company isn’t getting even MORE information about me. Paranoid? Sorta.
Thanks for the comment!

I had adsense of one of my site but CTR was very poor only making around $2.00 per month compared to $10-15 when it was parked.
It shall be interesting to see what happens with there parking concept more chance of CTR but who knows how they shall pay?

Robbie

I assume the previous post was referring to Adsense and not Adsense For Domains. I read on the Google site last night that they would be rolling out in North America between Dec 11-18th so check your Adsense account to see when it shows up.

Thanks, Max! Was away when this whole thing started, but I’m definitely going to be looking up things now that I’m back home on my desktop (I hate working on laptops).
As for RegFeeNames, it does sound like AdSense and not AdSense for Domains. Possibly worth trying that domain and see how it compares with traditional current parking @ 10-15/month and you’ll get a good idea of how much difference there is with AdSense for Domain parking?
I assume that they will be paying the same way they do with AdSense–check/direct deposit/and Western Union.
Thanks for the comments!

I believe Andrew from DomainNameWire.com is experimenting with the new Google parking system now. He does a great job doing investigative work for the domain industry.
Give him a few months to report the performance of Domain park.

Yep. Andrew always does an extraordinary job. Can’t wait to see what’s up, but definitely hesitant to park some domains with the big G.

I don’t think you could get that much traffic for parked domains…I mean..not unless you put your site on GoDaddy and pretend like your selling it so people can check out the website, but I don’t see any other way you could make money off of parked domains..

There is plenty of money in Domain Parking. If you have a domain with natural type-in and is targeted, you will pretty much make a decent amount of money/day if you have “enough” traffic.

I’ve set up a dozen domains for test I plan on running for a few months – we’ll see if its worthwhile. I will keep a running update on clicks and revenue on http://pbarnhart.wordpress.com/testing-adsense-for-domains/

Awesome! I just had it activated on my account, and will be doing some tests and posting a more comprehensive blog post regarding features, control panel, etc. for those that don’t have it yet and are curious.
I have some domains that are extremely hard to monetize for some odd reason and will be testing those first.
