Posted on | December 3, 2008 | 4 Comments
There has been reports of hundreds of stolen domain names where the thief is apparently trying to solicit and resell the domain names ASAP and try to pocket the money. BE WEARY.
Some of these domains include:
Problems.com
Mistake.com
Enroll.com
Damaged.com
Statement.com
Evaluate.com
UnClear.com
Upset.com
Shetty.com
Pleased.com
Returns.com
Suggestion.com

Replacement.com

Failures.com
Inquiries.com
Messages.net
Payment.net
Jennifer.net
Sensitivity.net
Unclear.net
Upset.net
UserFeedback.net
Organization.net
Suggestion.net

Payments.net
Pleased.net
Reactions.net
Replacement.net
Requests.net
Replace.net
Return.net
Military.org
Apparently the “domain portfolio site” LuxaryDomains is no longer resolving.
Best of luck to those that have lost their domains.
Also, Sahar from Conceptualist blogged about the news and wrote:
While mainstream domain owners, those who own a couple of domains, do not know any better, you, the domain professional, should never doubt the importance of protecting your domain names. If this is not a wake-up call to all those who pay no attention to where their valuables are, I don’t know what is.
For those that own domains worthwhile, I’m sure you’ve checked your accounts. I actually spent a good 30-40 minutes looking over my domains just for peace of mind.

Those are some good domains. I am afraid temptation will take over some unsuspecting buyers to close the deal fast.
Thanks for bringing it to the notice.

Definitely some people will want to get their hands on these domains thinking they are finally on the market.
Hopefully awareness of the situation with prevent people from losing their money because the original domain owner has a VERY good chance at getting these back.
Thank for the comment, RKB!

@RKB – But that’s the problem. A deal that is too good to be true usually is. But I am with you, I would close the deal fast if I could get a premium domain cheap!
