About 10 Days Away From .COM/.NET Price Increases – You Ready?
Posted on | September 20, 2008 | 1 Comment
I started preparing for the .com/.net price increase about two months ago (wish I hadn’t–LONG STORY)… so this isn’t really a big deal to me anymore. I renewed a majority of domains till 2010, a few till 2011, and some premiums till 2013. I figured I might as well and save my 2-3$… why not?
.
So this post is to remind people to start checking their domains now and not wait until after the price increase!
We want to let you know that the central registry for COM and NET domains will raise prices for COM and NET starting on October 1, 2008. Due to this price increase, we will be raising our COM and NET prices from $8.99 to $9.25. To save money, you may want to renew your COM and NET domains before October 1st to take advantage of our current prices before they go up.
This price increase will affect all COM and NET registrations, renewals, and domain transfers. Any orders submitted and paid before October 1, 2008 will not be affected by this price increase.
If you have any further questions about this, please feel free to contact us.
Best Regards,
Dynadot Staff
As you can see, new blog posts are coming. My 1-month long project officially comes to an end on either Sunday or Monday. Finally happy that nightmare (or fortunate event) comes to an end. It should all be posted one day in the future… as for now… trying to just ride the wave.

I did the exact same thing the Sunday before name.com raised their prices by $2. I saved about $30 total by doing so. It’s a good move to motivate the domainer because it brings loads of cash to the registrar.
