Iranians Not Allowed To Register .ASIA!

There was a thread recently posted on Namepros that suggested that the .asia registry has banned all Iranians from registering .ASIA domains! Extremely scandalous if true! I own ZERO .asia domains and am not from Iran so there’s no way I can verify (I assume that if you used “Iran” as the country in your who-is address that’s what constitutes you as being “Iranian”).
anyone who used IRAN as a country for registration for .asia is now not eligible for domain ownership! This change was made recently in the .asia registry with out any emails to Domainers who used Iran as a home country.
In the original contract, IRAN was listed. Just found out, they changed there contract with out any notice….
Maybe there will be more light shed on this situation a little later today. The thread is only a couple minutes old. Link
