Problems With Blogger And Dynadot Domains? Someone Found A Solution
Posted on | April 27, 2008 | No Comments
Well, there’s been some problems with domains at Dynadot being forwarded to Blogger. There was an issue with the way the name was resolving. Type in www.<domainname>.TLD and it would work fine… but once you remove the www., things just get screwed up and it resolves to a blank page instead of the blogger page. Weird, huh?
Solution:
1) Set IP Address under “Advanced Dynadot DNS Service” to 72.14.207.121 instead of 127.0.0.1.
2) In CNAME Records type in “www” in the subdomain section and ghs.google.com in the IP Adress section. (Picture here from DualTranz)

3) In Blogger, set custom domain in the “Publishing Tab” and check the redirect box underneath the domain name.

4) Here you are just supposed to wait for the DNS to update and then the domain should resolve with or without the “www.”
This discovery was posted by Haze at DualTranz. Should be extremely helpful to people who are using blogger hosted blogs and are using their own domains. Issue with Dynadot and Blogger (Google Blogspot) blogs and DNS redirection problems have been solved ["Problems With Blogger And Dynadot Domains? Someone Found A Solution"].
