So What Happened With Chitika Domain Parking?

I received some e-mails from people asking me what happened with Chitika domain parking… I gave them a shot with ONE domain the first week. It isn’t the best domain… but it received 30-40 type-in hits/day… which made it a decent candidate for using Chitika Domain Parking as my test. It was a sports related domain… so I naturally opted for some sort of “NBA”, “Basketball”, and “Jersey” keywords. I couldn’t really get the type of “ads” (products) I wanted, but I decided to just test it.
My results? I had about 100 uniques and ZERO CLICKS. I wasn’t really sure what the problem was since I expected AT LEAST one click. The domain normally gets 2% CTR/day… which isn’t great, but it does produce some revenue. I was nearly floored when I saw I made no revenue with Chitika. After using this domain, I looked over my list and was about to choose a couple domains with some GOOD traffic. I did think 100 uniques/week was good enough for this test, but I guess not. I read the Chitika thread at Namepros.
Countries supported by Chitika: USA, UK, Belgium, Sweden, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Australia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Canada.
Not 100% sure what the issue was since my domains were receiving traffic from United States. 98% of my traffic was from California (Los Angeles targeted domain), so I’m assuming that my traffic was considered “good” traffic. What exactly was the problem? Probably some sort of Chitika hiccup. I’m sure they are working on the platform; especially since it’s brand spanking new (well, couple weeks now).
Sorry for the “useless” post. Was just getting e-mails from people asking me what happened with the post. I tried to explain that it did absolutely nothing for me. I couldn’t even test the CPC with them because I didn’t get any clicks… I MIGHT try them out with other domains… but I really doubt it unless I start picking up some online-shopping type domains.
