MySpace.co.uk Gets Lucky: Domain Returned To Original Owner
April 29, 2008 | 2 Comments
An independent appeals panel has overturned a heavily-criticised decision to hand control of the myspace.co.uk domain to Rupert Murdoch’s Fox Interactive Media.
Absolutely stunning. I can’t believe it… since there was a problem with the .co.uk showing Myspace related ads. The co.uk was registered before the .com; but like I said, there were issues with the [...]

LH.com Forcefully Taken Away From Owner
April 28, 2008 | Leave a Comment
Seems like the LH.com UDRP win for Lufthansa is news that is just quickly spreading around. Absolutely ridiculous ruling, IMO.
The name is currently still owned by ‘elequa’. Well known in the domain industry and owns a vast portfolio of short acronym domains. Including ‘i.net’ !
A gem dating back to 1995. It is Lufthansa who have [...]

Problems With Blogger And Dynadot Domains? Someone Found A Solution
April 27, 2008 | Leave a Comment
Well, there’s been some problems with domains at Dynadot being forwarded to Blogger. There was an issue with the way the name was resolving. Type in www.<domainname>.TLD and it would work fine… but once you remove the www., things just get screwed up and it resolves to a blank page instead of the blogger page. [...]

April 26, 2008 | Leave a Comment
A cybersquatter is holding the Spanish government to ransom by refusing to give up the domain names of several government ministries unless they agree to transfer water to all of Spain’s drought stricken regions.
All I can say is wow. Someone managed to pick up some domains of the Spanish ministry since they failed to register [...]

What the hell has been up with some captchas lately? I was going to download a file sent to me by PM from Rapid Share and after waiting the minute or so to download, I had to enter a captcha. Alright… so I end up seeing this:

Random AdSense Rant Post
April 23, 2008 | Leave a Comment
Warning: I had 20 minutes before class available to blog, so I decided to write something extremely random.
Not really about AdSense, but just some of the users I see online in general… It seems as though everyone online loves AdSense and wants to prosper by using it on their site. After a while, I’m assuming [...]

Google Introduces WHO-IS Records Into Its Search Index
April 20, 2008 | Leave a Comment
Not exactly who-is records, but now when you take a domain and add the word “who-is” in front of a domain (IE: whois google.com) you get a link to domaintools.com which leads you to a page with the who-is information of a domain name.
Not bad for domain resellers, IMO. This will give their information a [...]
