Bodis on Revenue Changes and Bodis V2

Well, you’ve seen the lack of updates. Nothing much going on (unless I’m living under a rock–which I’m not), so I’m just posting more updates on Bodis.

Here’s what’s going on with…

Bodis and the Bodis advertisers and revenue changes:

The revenues are not determined by us. Whatever CPC values we get from our upstream ad providers, we give to the users. Also, many of these advertisers that advertise with our upstream ad providers have budgets, certain days of the week, certain times of the day, and certain countries that they want to advertise in. They may put aside $10,000 in spending for Monday, but $1,000 for Saturday. Hence why you see usually revenue drops on the weekend – many advertisers on days that convert less to them. Same thing with times of day. 12 noon – 6 pm may be much better for advertisers than 12 midnight – 6 am.

On top of that, some advertisers have daily, weekly, or monthly budgets set. If these budgets are reached, their ads are no longer displayed. If their ads had a targeted title but are no longer displayed, not only will it affect your CPC, but it will also may affect your CTR.

On top of that, it depends what keyword your visitors click on, and which ad position, and of coarse what country they are visiting from.

Bodis on Bodis v2:

And to those asking about me working on increasing the network’s revenue – well it will definitely increase. But since v2 is JUST AROUND the corner, I decided to spend an extra 3 days on getting better revenue there than on the current system.

Standard update for those who miss out on the Bodis news. I’m desperately waiting for Bodis v2 and hope it “AWES” me. On the other hand, I’m currently testing another domain parking provider. Yep. Parking Panel earnings went through a little roller coaster ride the last three days and I just couldn’t take it anymore; so I decided to move a dozen or so domains to another provider. Decision has been made, now just waiting on some things till I actually move them (nameserver change).

Already got some checks in the mail and have things “on back up” in case the new provider doesn’t work out with me (I test for 2-3 weeks, and unfortunately domains pay my bills). Hopefully by May I can get some sort of update with them and make a decision on whether I’m going to move over more domains or just move them back to my current domain parking companies.

Moving on… there’s been threads everything claiming “Classic domain parking companies are in trouble!!!” There have been some problems, but things have been relatively quiet. AdSense performed damn well yesterday, so I’m happy that things are on the rise. That’s something you don’t hear now-a-days, huh? Not going to jinx it, so I’ll stay away from that topic. Hopefully I can figure out what exactly I did to improve on my earnings (instead of updating sites for 4 hours straight yesterday) and make a little blog post about it.

OKie. Happy I finally had something to write about today. I normally don’t like going more than 1-2 days without a blog update, but jeez… there was just really nothing to mention. Hope there’s some action tomorrow!
