GoDaddy Silences Police Watchdog Site RateMyCop.com

This isn’t the first time something like this has occurred with GoDaddy…
A new web service that lets users rate and comment on the uniformed police officers in their community is scrambling to restore service Tuesday, after hosting company GoDaddy unceremonious pulled-the-plug on the site in the wake of outrage from criticism-leery cops.
Visitors to RateMyCop.com on Tuesday were redirected to a GoDaddy page reading, “Oops!!!”, which urged the site owner to contact GoDaddy to find out why the company pulled the plug.
RateMyCop founder Gino Sesto says he was given no notice of the suspension. When he called GoDaddy, the company told him that he’d been shut down for “suspicious activity.”
There’s also this:
GoDaddy won’t register domain names with ‘godaddy’ in them
Ridiculous!

Great post there.
This is a TYPICAL way of doing things Godaddy style.
What will be next websites will be shut down because someone has burped in public – GoDaddy is PATHETIC.
FREEDOM of Expression should be allowed since the whole WORLD has been created this way – by the way there is NO harm done to anyone with a website content like the one at RateMyCop.com

On one hand I think what Damir is saying makes sence but on the other hand you have to look where Godaddy is sitting. With enough money and lawyers someone could even hold Godaddy responsible for hosting a website with inappropriate materials on it.
I guess the owner should have read the TOS before sending his payment with paypal and he wouldn’t be in this situation!
