Redirecting Your Bodis Traffic – DO IT!

Posted on | March 7, 2008 | No Comments

I mentioned on February 27, 2008 that Bodis will no longer be able to monetize the amount of countries it used to (Matt on Namepros said it now supports about 50% less than before) and posted a link with the countries that “count.”

Two days ago I got curious and decided to just mess with the redirect feature added earlier this month. Basically the redirect feature forwards all traffic that can not be monetized by Bodis. What were my results? Lost revenue. I sent my traffic to my Namedrive parking pages since I know Namedrive will probably do a “semi” better job at monetizing international traffic.

Point of this blog post? DO IT. Forward your traffic. I don’t have time to sit one-by-one (yet) and change all of my domains [ PLEASE: GLOBAL REDIRECT FEATURE?! ] but I did take 20 or so domains and set it up. WOW. Wish I had done it when it was first announced… could’ve bought myself a couple lunches!

For the redirect feature just go to Manage Domains > Click on the domain name you want to change > Scroll down till you see: ” Redirect Non-monetizeable Traffic: “
