This Weeks Domain Sales – DataRecovery.com $1,659,000

I always see the weeks domain sales on DNJournal, yet I never really report on them. I figure people don’t really like to sit and see domain sales and just want to read about possible “interesting” news. Well, I decided to give in today only because I always say it is great to try and understand the value of a domain as an asset. I’m actually thinking of doing this once a week since there are sales that would probably be helpful to a lot of the readers in understanding the value of a domain name.
There was a *gorgeous* 7-figure sale this week–DataRecovery.com at $1,658,000. I can’t comment on the how great of a deal it was, but all major TLDs taken and the company that I assume purchased it now forwards it to their data recovery website.
My favorite of the week is Holland.net. Nice geo-domain at can be developed into a nice travel site. At $27K I think it was possibly sold for market value. Not a great deal and not a bad deal–market value.

I suggest to check it out. There’s a LOT more sales this week that are interesting to sit and read about.
On another more boring note, I changed the “Personal” category to “Off-Topic.” I figured it would be more appropriate to put my Miss America posts in there instead of something called “Personal.” Stupid, but I just had to mention it.
Parking Panel is back to normal… well… according to the last 3 days worth of stats. Yesterday hasn’t updated yet, so I can’t really comment on that. I’m going to be tweaking some keywords a bit to see if I can squeeze more money out of my CPC. I haven’t worked on my new Bodis.com domain management. Since they can no longer monetize a majority of the world’s countries, I need to forward individual sites to parking providers like Namedrive or Parking Panel or even Parked. Need to see what is going to happen with that since its been getting to me. :: grunt ::
Tomorrows blog post (or later tonights–depending on if my auto-post messes up) is going to be a pretty interesting one. Something which–if it goes through–will change the domaining industry. Check in! If you don’t get back everyday, sign up for the RSS feed!
