Donny from Parked mentioned a list of countries where traffic is accepted by Yahoo!
American Samoa
Australia
Austria
Bahamas
Belgium
Bermuda
Brazil
British Indian Ocean Territory
Cook Islands
Denmark
Falkland Islands
Fiji
Finland
France
French Polynesia
Germany
Great Britain
Guam

Hong Kong
Ireland
Italy
Japan

Lichtenstein
Luxembourg

Norfolk Island
North America (United States and Canada)
Northern Mariana Islands
Norway

Switzerland
Taiwan
Tonga
Trinidad and Tobago
Tuvalu
Vanuatu
Virgin Islands
Western Samoa
All together there are supposed to be fifty (50) countries. I’m assuming possibly that other providers might have a similar list. I’d assume (pretty sure) that Google accepts a lot more countries since AdWords is of course #1 in online advertising.
All of this is important because of the whole situation with Ask.com and the Google sub-feed. People are starting to take a look at their traffic and want to make sure that they get credit for every visitor. If you’re getting a ton of traffic from an unsupported country you are just bleeding in lost revenue and must find a way to monetize it… the problem is now finding these domains that are getting tons of unsupported traffic. If you have a portfolio of even just a hundred domains it’s going to be a tough task!
What I’d suggest if you do have a domain that is getting traffic from an unsupported country and you have it parked, monetize it using AdSense. I’m going to write a little about how to figure out where your traffic is coming from tomorrow. It’s a lot of work if you have a ton of domains, but might be worth it!
Notes: Remember that the list of countries might be a little off. It was mentioned that those are the countries that he knows of.
