Microsoft About To Launch Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) Beta Browser

Microsoft says that it’s going to be releasing the beta of Internet Explorer 8, also known as IE8. Internet Explorer 7 was finalized in Octoberish of 2006, but still hasn’t gained converts from Internet Explorer 6. Hopefully there will be better promotion of Internet Explorer 8, IE8, so people can upgrade and keep those security holes shut.
According the Microsoft, IE8 is supposed to finalized and released in the first half of this year. The beginning of the second half is in July, so should we expect it Mid-June? Probably… but I wouldn’t be surprised if it were postponed. Reason I want IE8 over IE6/IE7 is I’m hoping that there is more of a similarity in how IE8 will render websites to Firefox. That way there doesn’t need to be seperate IE stylesheets and stuff… extremely annoying especially since IE6 has the international market share in the palm of its hands (not going to get into Firefox starting to dominate international browser share).
