Screw Microsoft, Yahoo Wants To Partner With Google?

You read the title right. Yahoo may want to have an alliance with the Internet Giant: Google. I can’t really get into the whole details of the article since my professor has been getting pissed at people doing other things on their laptops during class, but this is freakin RIDICULOUSLY HUGE NEWS. Yahoo + Microsoft would’ve been a domination already, but Yahoo and Google? It’d be a damn domainers nightmare.

With the news buzzing around the forums there have been people saying they wish Yahoo to be acquired by Google. I always come in and say you have to be nuts to want Google to own Yahoo. The take over of the internet would just be on a HUGE scale. Competition would be (nearly) eliminated and there would definitely be a monopoly online.

Yahoo management is considering revisiting talks it held with Google several months ago on an alliance as an alternative to Microsoft’s bid, that source said. At $31 a share, Yahoo believes the bid undervalues the company, two sources said.

This would most likely not fly in legal terms, but a “Business Alliance” would be interesting. Just wondering why this came out when Google placed that blog post yesterday?

Forget my post. GO READ ABOUT IT AT REUTERS:
